K through 3
All classroom screen time is prohibited except for introducing computer science standards and preparing for or taking a standards assessment.
Grades 4 through 6
Instructional technology is balanced with teacher-led, print-based and analog methods. It is used under direct teacher supervision for a defined academic purpose.
Who it covers
The section applies to charter schools as local education agencies. It keeps exceptions for technology required by an IEP or 504 plan.

Where Loop lands.
Most adaptive math products are screen products. Loop was designed for paper from the start.

The teacher uses it before school, not in front of students. Students use paper.
Does this replace teacher-led instruction?
No. LOOP prepares practice and shows the teacher what needs another explanation. The teacher still teaches.

Yes. The section applies to local education agencies, including charter schools.
