A first name and a class code
One first name and one class code per child, plus the child's worksheets and the skill records made from them. No last names, birthdays, logins or photos of faces.
Short, stated retention
Pictures of boxes the reader was sure of, and the scanned pages, are deleted within hours of scoring. Pictures of boxes flagged for the teacher are deleted once she checks the box, and never kept past 7 days. Records are kept one school year. All of these are provisional and confirmed before signing.
Only answer boxes leave
Single handwritten-digit crops go to a commercial AI API. No name, code, or date is attached. The provider's current default retention is 30 days.
